SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Los Angeles May Z5 1971 As l namely Anne Harsha sat 1n the l1v1ng room of my 25 room shack watchmg one of our 15 color tel6V1S1OD sets I was amazed to see several of my classmates ap pear on the Man About Town program The flrst to appear on the screen was Montana Ash who IS now the only bagp1pe 1nstructor 1n the state of Russ1a Next come on was the one and only Paul Chambers Amer1ca s latest s1ng1ng sensat1on who has taken the place of Mar1o Lanza Then came Auld1n Shuman and James Eddy who are now play1ng professlonal football w1th the Cleveland Browns Then to my great surpr1se I d1scove red that Martha He1nle1n owned the Snappy Slot MaCh1He House of Amer1ca w1th Mary Ga1ser as the chlef tester of her ma1n factory Berna McKelvy IS now the head execut1oner of S1ng S1ng Pr1son and Norma Jean Cornell IS the press agent of that daredevll speed demon k1ng of the lnd1anapol1s Speedway Dave Buck Next came Mary Lou Boston who IS now play1ng f1rst base for the Cleveland Squaws w1th Jack K1nka1d as manager of the only g1rls' boxlng club of S1ber1a I saw Betty Wells and Mona Lauderman pract1c1ng for the World's Champ1on Shlp Next I came upon Allan Z1nn who 15 now S1stersv1lle Hxgh School s new profes sor of Latxn aSS1StSd by Mr Ralph Ferrell I d1scovered that Gene Gorrell IS runn1ng for the next PTeS1dEnt of the Un1ted States w1th Karen West as the new fore1gn m1n1ster to the W1ld Men of Borneo El1zabeth Henderson IS the head of the Ach1ng Back D 1vers School where she teaches her puplls how to dr1ve the Jet propelled cars that her col league the great PhyS1C1St Rxchard Knowlton 1nvented Ralph Huston whose llfelong amb1t1on was to become a golf pro 15 now Txddly Wlnks champlon of Amer1ca and Tom McGucken 15 the funn1est thlng to h1t the mov1es 1n a long t1me I see by my telev1s1on screen that Susan Gatrell IS st1ll collect1ng B1lls' Jun1e Dally IS head of the Dally Robot Company makers of those world re nowned robots wh1ch can do everythlng but work Joyce Bowen IS a lady dent1st 1n and Joe Northcraft who Just completed thelr one m1ll1oneth p1cture together Glenna Jean Beaver and Leona Wagner are the sole owners of the Ache Me Wreclung Company who were just recently sued for complete destructlon of the Brooklyn Br1dge Paula Bradley now a great lawyer IS defend1ng them Jeanne Boggs surpr1sed us all by gett1ng marr1ed and I see by the ole TV set that Jacque Norwood IS the chlef pllot for the D U M B a1rl1nes owned by that mult1m1l l1ona1re Ralph Thomas Patty Moeck 1S now runn1ng a Fortune telllng class 1n Rccke feller Center wh1ch Mr Rockefeller gave to B111 Starkey for h1s outstand1ng work 1n the f1eld of sc1ence Nell1e Gorrell 1S runn1ng a bus l1ne IH the North Pole where she makes her own road laws and Betty Lou Kemp IS her ch1ef bus dr1ver That IS when she can get t1me off from tak1ng care of her 12 husbands Gene Patterson 15 st1ll 1n S H S lt seems he couldn't bear to leave Mrs Guyton s econom1cs class, and B1ll Sw1sher has surpassed even Tommy Manv1lle he has been marr1ed and d1vorced 24 t1mes so far I was very surpr1sed to see that Helen Sowma IS now runn1ng a Reduclng Saloon and try1ng her own remeches she now wexghs 249 pounds Larry Huffman IS one of her steadle st customers that 15 when he can get t1me off from play1ng the banjo on h1S new TV show wh1ch 15 sponsored by Martha Sm1th the great steel magnate Jean Lohr 1S now l1v1ng m the Wh1te House as Amer1ca s flrst lady Pres1dent Rex Lapp 1S her pr1vate secretary Sue Bowen and R1ChaFd Cornell are the owners of the world's largest flea clrcus Mary Cathers 15 tl e1r greatest r1val She runs the one and only tramed bedbug sldeshow w1th Patty Hays as her chlef barker Margaret M1chael 15 now pr1nc1pal of S1stersv1lle I-hgh School w1th Donna Joe Archer as truant off1cer James Dearth and Annabelle Alfred are eklng out a l1V1ng as glue manufacturers ln Southern Manchur1a Gladys Kemp and Fred Dearth are owners of the Larth to Vloon Spacesh1p Lmes who have had only 200 wrecks out of 201 tr1es Well that's all I ll have t1me for I have to go catch a Flymg Saucer to S1stersv1lle for my class reumon 15 , I . . . . ll I . Sistersville High lHV1teS you to stroll through the year 1950 1951 and to take a look into every classroom every important event every acti vity Long to be remembered are the first days of the year the new classes and friends new teachers class elections andthe fuss of getting really started Then there were the big football games the pep meetings with bon fires the band shows and band trips student dances all the thrilling bas ketball games Work played an important part too, as we gathered our share of honors and prizes in both scholarship and activities.
