CARL YATES HOWARD R. PERRIN District Building inspector District Architect The portraits of Siskiyou Union High School District Architect Howard R. Perrin, and District Building Inspector Carl W. Yates are included in the White and Gold for the first time. Howard R. Perrin has been the District Architect for several years. He was the Architect for the Butte Valley High School which was built in 1945, and since that time, has been Architect for all building in the Siskiyou Union High School District. The new Yreka High School Gymnasium and the new Tule Lake High School were built under his supervision. The Siskiyou High School District has an extensive building program under way. New buildings will be built at Yreka, Dorris, Weed, Mount Shasta and McCloud. New construction work will also be undertaken at Fort Jones if the Siskiyou County Redistricting Com- mittee and the State Department of Education approve. Carl W. Yates, District Building Inspector, has served in this capacity since 1953. He is highly qualified for this work and rates high with the Division of School Planning ofthe State Department of Education as a School Building Inspector.
