Coached by Morris Shep- herd and Len Fitzgerald, the l.V.'s opened the season by thumping Novato and con- tinued their winning ways until meeting Vallejo when they were held for a 13-13 tie. But the junior Pirates bounced right back with strong victor- ies over Tam, Montgomery and Napa. They concluded their season with a l2-l2 tie with San Ra- fael, giving them a final record of five wins, no losses and two ties.
