I-le was assigned to the SIOUX as his first duty station and reported aboard in September of 1971. Operations Officer Lieutenant fjgl Francis B. Montague gradu- ated from Hampden-Sydney College ln Juno of 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree ln Econom- ics, He entered the Navy through the Naval Reserve Officer Candidate program and was commissioned on 23 October 1970. Prlor to ra- portlng on board the SIOUX he served with Service Squadron EIGHT ln Norfolk, Virginia, and attended the Navy School ofDlvlng and Salvage ln Washington, D.C. Engineering Officer CWO-2 Leland L. Glaser was commis- lloned ln 1966 after completing 17 years of en- lllted service. As Engineman Chief, Mr Glaser served aboard the USS CROSS QDE-4483, the USS SNYDER KDE-745J, the USS WHITEMARSH QLSD-Bl, the USS RASHER QSSR-269l, the USS GREBNPISH QSS-351i and the USS BLUEGIL1, 185-242l.
