,, I 1 Sioux Rapids Indians The Sioux Rapids Indians started the 1970 football season known throughout the conference as the LEFTOVERS , but proved to be just the opposite as they ended up third in the conference losing only to Terril and Ruthven. Also, they ended the season rated fifth for small schools in Northwest Iowa. The Indians shocked their first three. opponents: Graettinger, West Bend, and Mallard. Then Ruthven shocked the Indians. The Indians came fighting back to win their Homecoming game over Sioux Valley. The mighty Indians found they weren't so mighty as they could only manage a tie with Marathon. As before, they came back and played their best game of the season against Everly, but ended the season on two bad notes, losing to Terril and South Clay. 55 82if.fffE'xB53 7. 6 FIRST ROW: Alan Mills, Todd Dandy, Nick Vail, Greg Grau, Allan Mattice, Mike Simon, Drew Kuhlengel, Brian Halverson, Oren Geisinger, Greg Geisinger, Ted George, Greg Willfong, john Schulke.
