High first place trophy was won by the Little Maidens by outdistancing the nearest team, Graettinger, 66- 48. All teams but Everly competed The girls won most of the meets that they entered. Notable perfor- mances were as follows: Becky Lehr-60 yd. dash in 7.5 and 100 yd. dash in 12. 1, Cindy Schultz-Long jump 14'11 1f2 , 440 Medley -60. 2 with Sue Vail, Marilyn May, Linda Tatman, and Cindy Schul1z. Debbie Kleaveland- Shot Put 24'8 , Lora Edwardson-5 Flight Hurdles 11. 2--4-100 yd. Hurdles. 400 yd. Hurdle Relay- 1:08. 9 with Debbie Kleaveland, Debbie Wenck, joanie Neave, and Lora Edwardson.

Junior High Girls Basketball The junior High Girls won seven while loslng only one during the 1970-1971 season The offensive average was 39 5 and the de fensive average was 21, 8. RECORD We South C lay 29 Marathon 37 Sioux Valley 36 Rembrandt 6 3 Everly 28 Marathon 36 Rembrandt 56 Sioux Valley 31 All the girls played in most of the games Top scorers were: Laura, Tern, C1ndy, Sue K and Marilyn. Top guards were Debble K Becky, Linda, Sue V. , and Debble W Junior High Girls Softball The team's summer rec- ord was five wins and seven losses. When fa ll softball started, the girls had more experience and a desire to win. The record for the fall was five wins and two losses The losses were to Schaller High School B- Squad and to Galva.
