BAND One of the most vociferous disturlaers of the peace on the campus is the Band. Every Tuesday night the grumbling ommpahs of the Bass Horn interspersed with piccolo squealcs issue from the cracks in Meredith Hall and set every foot on the campus tapping to the beat of lively marches. These marches are presented for public approval at the games, and help provide zip and zest to the manifestations of school spirit. There are solemn occasions, of course, when the Band goes long hair and treats the student body to the taste of the classics. In addition to these appearances, the marching band, garbed in traditional buck skin, adds an authentic Indian touch to the Tepee Day Festivities. Under the leadership of Ardeen Foss the band has received new impetus and has promise of becoming an even greater organization.
