On August 30, 1954 there were many new faces in junior high. The old members moved to senior high and were replaced by the excited and rather scared sixth graders and rural students. Some of the activities the freshman could participate in this year were F. F. A. and F. H. A. At the begin- ning of the year many of the rural students joined band. Fourteen of the freshman had the privilege of being in sextet and double mixed quartet. Those were Janice Bartels, Linda Popma, Marjorie Hiemstra, Karen Rensink, Sandra Vander Berg, Donna Harskamp, Dawn Van Beek, Adella Juffer, Hendrene Vande Berg, Judy De Vries, Phil Den Herder, Allan Schimmel, Hugh Vander Wilt, and Martin Kuiken. The sextet sang at our Christmas program. Junior high like senior high has a pep club which many of the seventh and eighth grade students belong to. Among many other things, junior high gives plays. The seventh and eighth grade gives one play and the freshman give two plays. Many attend and enjoy them very much. This page is sponsored by Casey's Bakery and the Furniture Mart. -25..
