S !1 Jw sw r L r ' M' - . , , W Wm- , J 1 1 ' 1, I 6 Our Junzor Hugh may Every year while the Senior High is busy raining showers of talent and accomplishments in every direction the Junior High is following right along in her footsteps and staying mighty close too You know there are really quite a number of talented people over here in S C J H B lieve it or not And throughout the year that talent is put to excellent use Just to list a few of our best accomplish ments well start with music This vear 20 people out of 50 in Scnlor band were Junior high students. And beside that most of the Jun- ior Band is made up of junior highers. Also we have other music groups that appear in jun- ior high programs or as special numbers without mentioning all of the individual musical talen'. that shows up when contests come along. We also have a basketball team that played quite a few times this season and participated in the tournament. And we're proud of the fact that two of our freshmen made the second team this year. We hope they do it next year too. Next on the list is our dramatic ability the past two years we have given Junior Hign con For plays Two one act comedies each year sisting of two different play casts chosen from 7th and 8th grades combined and 9th grade The plays this year were Life O The Party 47th and 8thJ and Sally Takes a Bow C9thJ Then we have cur cheerleaders and pep club who have done wonderful Jobs of backing our basketball teams all year However none of what has been accomp lished so far could ever have been done without the help of our teachers. They really deserve most of the credit. They are the ones who keep us advancing when we get those tendencies to retreat and without them we're lost. Our Junior lt's usually true that if we amount to anything in Senior High, it's a result of the good start we had back in Junior High. And our Junior High gives us more opportunities for a good beginning than we can ever be thankful for. High is a pretty swell place.
