uperintendent Wayne Blevins Dear Students of Sinton High School: A high school annual is intended to mirror the image of a school for a particular year, and through this imagery the tenor of times is also narrated. Such is this document. Its pages are replete with the activities and accomplishments of the students at Sinton High School. They represent the exuberance and excitement that will always belong to you. While this annual is contemporaneously exciting, I believe that you will discover it to be a valuable keepsake that provides 'Il 'l d l h and relive 1978-79 at everlasting enjoyment. It is probably only then that the significance of your time at Sinton High School will be understood. An American author, Charles Varle, had these comments to make about education: Education is a companion which no misfortune can depress-no crime destroy-no enemy alienate-no despotism ' W' h t it what is enslave. At home, a friend, abroad, an introduction, in solitude, solace, and in society, an ornament. it ou , man ?-a splendid slave, a reasoning savage. Please allow me this forum to extend my personal best wishes to you and your family as you reach out together and touch the future.
