— THE BRONCO Simpson High School Simpson, Louisiana The Senior Class of 1973 chose, We Resolve to Meet the Present Fired With the Flame of the Future and Armed With the Steel of the Past , as our motto because this is the easiest and most exact way to say what we really feel. We face the challenges of today with a bright and radiant fire because we have learned from our mistakes in the past. Although we may remember a few happenings in our earlier lives, the most memorable time of our lives will probably be the last four years of school. We will reminisce about the times we've tried the teachers' patience, argued just for the sake of arguing, and admired the teachers for their guidance, understanding and love. So, in the hopes that you may remember the school year of 1972-1973, in composing this yearbook, the staff, under the direction, and with the help of Mr. Lewis, hopes to bring the people of our communities, the teachers, as well as the students, a few fond memories of warmth and happiness. Ginger Smith Editor Dedication Because of their love for our country and the sacrifices they have made for her; Because of the personal hardships - loneliness, fears, physical and mental strains - they have endured; Because of the courage they have displayed under most adverse conditions; WetheSeniorClassofl973 wish to dedicate this annual to those who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of their country and those who have been held prisioner of war, during any conflict in which our nation has been involved. SEATED: Patricia Adams - Business Manager, Ginger Smith - Editor, Rena Bolton - Sports and Subscrip- tions. STANDING: Charles Jackson - Sports, Wayne Lewis - Sponsor, Harmon Cedars - Sports and Classes. The Staff is on top of things. The ladder to success. SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE My sincere congratulations to those who have made so many valuable contributions to this outstanding yearbook. The staff, the sponsors and all individuals who have worked enthusiastically to provide this pictorial record of the 1972-73 school year are to be commended on a job well done. This is an endeavor that will increase in value with the passing of each year. May the pictorial scenes in this annual help you to remember with pride and a real sense of joy your school days. To each of you, I extend my very best wishes for continued happiness and unlimited achievements in all of your future endeavors. Sincerely, Curtis Bradshaw, Superintendent ■ To the Seniors of '73: Your school days - especially the ’teen years - will always be remembered as probably the most memorable of your life. You have been a wonderful class! The pictorial record dis- played in these pages reflect hard work and excellence in pre- paration on your part. Always look back with fond memories and know that you are always welcome to come back and visit your” school. F. W. Jackson, Jr. ADRON TEMPLE R. L.
