I wish tocommend the staff and sponsors of Simpson High School for their contribution and efforts involved in compiling and editing this yearbook. For many of you it means that you will leave home to look for work. For others it means that you will be leaving to go to college. This means that there will be new problems along with the new opportunities. Your High School training will help you to face economic problems. But it is your church background that will help you face the moral problems and the decisions that will af- fect your whole life. When solving those problems and making those decisions remember that there are church people in your home town who are interested in you and are praying for you. Remember also the Bible promise: The Lord Thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. ” With sincerest wishes for you, Rev. E. Earl Carver, pastor Simpson Church of God Simpson, Louisiana In the year 1962 A. D. Dear Friends of Simpson Schools: May the Grace and Peace of our Lord be upon each of you in this coming year is our earnest prayer in Christ's Name. Mrs. Day and myself extend to each of you, Students and Faculty, of the schools in Simpson our sincere appreciation with the hope that this will be our greatest year together. As we gaze into the future together in a world that is filled with mixed emotions and complex situations; many of us may be parted never to be together again. Because this situation exists we would like to urge each of you to place complete dependence upon the only one that can be of help in these troubled times. Christ our Lord. He is yours as well as ours and ever ready to help when needed. May our Lord be honored and glorified in our everyday life during this year to- gether.
