Madwuzgq UWM! 921124 Navy Lieutenant Commander Stephen C. Maloney is a native of Southern California. He was commissioned in May of 1980 from Officer Candidates School in Newport, Rl. Upon completion he was assigned to the USS Henr W. Hill CDD 9861 ' S D' y in an iego, CA. He completed his tour there as the Main Propulsion Assis- tant, Combat Information Center officer, and First Lieutenant. In October 1984 Lieutenant Commander Maloney reported to Neal Education and Training Center in New- port, RI Where he served as an instructor for Surface Warfare Officers Division Ollicer School. Upon finishing the assignment and Department Head School, he reported to the USS Paul F. Foster CDD 9641 in Long Beach. CA as Chief Engineer until May 1991. He then went to Command and Control College in Ft. Leavenworth. KS. Upon graduating he reported to USS Simpson in April 1993 as Executive Ollicer Lieutenant Commander Maloney is married to the former Ann Carr of Middletown. OH. They have three children, Sarah, Stephen, and James.

,4:-.aw-'lf COMMANDER JAMES S. HANNA Umlid 312154 Navy Commander James S. Hanna was commissioned in June 1975 following graduation from the United States Naval academy. Upon graduation he was assigned to USS JOHN KING QDDG-31 in Norfolk, Virginia. where he served as Boilers Officer, Damage Control Assistant, and Navigator. In 1978, Commander Hanna reported to the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. California. where he subsecluently attained a Master of Science Degree in Physical Oceanography in December 1980. His next sea tour was commissioning engineer Officer in USS BOONE QFFG-285 homeported in Mayport. Florida. He later also served as Combat Systems Officer in BOONE. In 1985, Commander Hanna was assigned to the Defense Mapping Agency as Senior Plans Officer and JCS Liason Officer. In November 1987, Commander Hanna reported to USS SELLERS QDDG-117 as Executive Officer where he served until SELLERS was decommissioned in October. 1989. In November 1989, Commander Hanna reported to the Officer of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy tman- power and Reserve Affairsj where he served as the Special Assistant for Naval Personnel. His personal deco- rations include the Legion of Merit, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. The Navy Commendation Medal. and the Joint Service Achievement Medal. Commander Hanna is married to the former Linda Billmann of Baltimore, Maryland. They have three sons. Richard, Andrew and David.
