Miss Taylor and Mrs. Reed proudly display new math equipment. Mathematics Simon Kenton MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT has been increased this year to include helpful material provided by NDEA. This equipment is used in many classes of both iunior and senior high students. Along with this new equipment came a new advanced mathematics course offered to those who are in the commercial field of study and to those beyond the ninth grade who do not wish to take formal math courses such as algebra, plane or solid geometry, and trigonom- etry. The advanced algebra classes are moving toward the honors program which will include cal- culus and analytic geometry. All these things are aiding our math program, and will help to provide a good foundation for commerce students as well as college-bound students.
