YEAR'S REVIEW School opened September 11, 1945 with a bang, and we immedi- ately started to work on the Annual. On September 20, we elected class officers and on the following day we were honored with a free skating party sponsored by Mr. Pruett. On the first day of October, Mrs. Brown appointed the Annual Staff, much to the joy of those who were selected. Then on October 19, we went on a hay-ride. We ended up at Mrs. Brown's where we had a very enjoyable evening. On October 31st We sponsored a Talent Show, which was very successful. By November school was well under way and on the 16th we sponsored an auction sale for the Senior High. On the 29th the Beau and Belle were selected. Then on the 30th we sponsored another bake sale for the Jr. High but the main feature of the day was the winning of our first basketball game. Also around the last part of November, Young 8: Carl came to take pictures for the Annual. December was uneventful until the bad weather started and then school was closed for the Christmas Vacation on December 18th-, three days early. It was a wonderful vacation but also lots of fun when school started again which was January 2nd. January started with cold weather and was a very busy month. By the middle of the month, most of the students began cramming for exams, and teachers started to make out tests. On January 25th the first semester ended and with a sigh- of relief we realized exams were over and we had all survived. We are now looking forward to the second semester of our last year in S. K. S., which will be highlighted with such events as the Senior Class Play which is scheduled for March 29th, and the Junior-Senior Prom on April 5th. We will then skip on until we reach Class Night on May 24th and then our last week of school. On May 26th we will have Baccalaureate. On May 31st the trail stops and we finally attain our goal, GRADUATION.
