www ir Because of war conditions we have not been able to present to you the book that we would like to, but we are not apologizing because as good Americans it is our duty to make sacrifices though this be a very small one. In our eyes our book will hold just as many happy memories for us in the years to come and will be just as symbolic of our school as any other edition printed. Our alterative in presenting THE PIONEER is to put before you an every-day view of school events and scenes pertaining mostly to the school year 1944-1945. As seniors we must leave, but in leaving this book behind we feel that it will help to hold together the many ties of friendship and good will formed here in the school. If it measures up to that expectation we will not feel that our time and energy has been wasted in putting it forth.
