LUCILE BROWN Senior Class Sponsor We, the Senior Class of 1945 have chosen to dedicate this, our annual, to our admirable class sponsor, Mrs. Lucile Brown, who has favored us in every way possible. In her we found not merely a teacher, but an everlasting friend with courage, loyalty, and patriotism in her heart. We hope that we may uphold the high standard of clean American living that she has inspired in us throughout the time that we have known her. Response to Dedication To the Seniors of 1945 Hope without an object cannot li-ve. Coleridge. Your sponsor feels very humble yet grateful for the honor your class has con- ferred upon her. Believing in you, and knowing you as she does, she makes bold to trust that you will teach others by precept and example what you have learned at home and school. You are to take your place in a war-torn world in a reconstruction era: you are to meet people with- different standards of living, different in many ways. How' well you succeed depends upon your adjustments. Your sponsor has watched you grow physically and mentally. You have manifested above reproach your idealistic at- titudes, habits, and personalities. Be true to your trust in God: and, saying what your sponsor wishes by a figure of speech, when the great day comes, the final end of each individual's life, you, each of you, will receive a bigger and better diploma. All men desire life and we have lately seen that a social order without proper educational guidance as a purpose fails to sustain life. The duty to take the lead in the educational field is placed upon us Americans because of our ingenuity. The field is always open to those who wish to take advantage of high educational atttainment.
