Glee Club Sponsors, Mr. B. H. Shepherd, Mrs. E. D. Vaughan Just as music is all about us, so do we need it many times. There are many uses of music, to enliven our activities, to add beauty or gayety or solemnity to certain occasion, to enrich our minds and hearts, and to give us understanding. Music has the power to take us out of our everyday selves into a world of the spirit, of pure thoughts, of happiness, of sympathy, of fun, of aspiration, and to bring us back again refreshed and better able to do our work in the world. The Glee Club of Simmons High School is striving to bring to the school the highest type of music. We are already making plans for Commence- ment and the musical Festival to be held in May.
