Microcosmg a part of a whole. A society is not made up of a single person but rather it is made up of many people. During our four years at Simmons we have learned the importance of working collectively. Enormous changes will be taking place in the decade before us and we are eagerly looking forward to them. Until recently, there were minor changes in education. However, innovative changes have been occurring in the po- litical arena with emphasis placed on the importance of con- serving our natural resources. John Anderson, Republican of Illinois, is one of our more progressive presidential candidat- es, who has received national recognition for the concem he has shown for energy conservation. This is viewed as an optimistic beginning for those of us who are graduating. Simmons will continue to reach out into the community through the Class of '80 and making many contributions to society. These contributions are a result of the insight we have gained while at Simmons. The decade of me-ism is over. We are leaving a hedonis- tic time and entering a new decade where people are working together for their society.
