One thing which has impressed me during the years I have been at Simmons College is the general excellence of the publication, M icrocosm. Each year there is a new theme for the book and an original treatment of the material. I have always found M icrocosm a most interesting record of another year in the history of Simmons College. While M icrocosm is read carefully by all the members of the Simmons family, it is, of course, the Class of 1964 who will treasure this edition most. I am sure it will prove to be a most pleasant reminder to each member of her college years. Certainly, for those of us who remain at Simmons, this book will continually refresh our memories of the excellent Class of 1964. This Class can be proud of its contributions to Simmons College. The leadership it has given the student organizations has been outstanding, and seldom in the history of the college has there been a class with so many of its members deeply concerned with making the college community a better and a more interesting place for all of us to live and work. It is true that each graduating class, collectively as well as individually, is missed at Simmons College, and the Class of 1964 is no exception. We shall, however, follow the careers of each girl with pride and great satisfaction as well as friendly interest. We look forward to the visits of the members of the Class of 1964 to the college in the years ahead, and we are sure that they will give their help and support to the continued growth of Simmons College. My sincerest good wishes to each of you in the Class of 1964.
