She has learned a great deal since freshman year A great deal which only the years can really evaluate But what she has gained is still fresh in mind, Partly untried and not yet entirely absorbed. She is not the same girl , . . inside. Only the essentials of her personality Basic and true to herself, Have remained after a period of changing thoughts, Developing ideals, maturing insights into herself, And into her world . . . a wider world, And a world which, because of her new knowledge, Is more truly hers . . . a world which she has gained, We are proud to say, At Simmons, through its traditions Of learning, of co-operating, of developing.
