ln grateful and loving memory of B. Marion Brown Instructor in and Assistant Professor of Chemistry, l9I3-I9Z2 July 31, l884-July 17, 1922 Dr. Brown was to us an inspiring teacher and a helpful friend. As one who was ready for service and worthy of trust she is ever before us. We feel a special sense of kinship with her since she was of our own alumnae, and a sense of pride in her scholarship, for she was the first Simmons alumna to receive the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. But more than these, we glory in the memory of a great teacher.
