After graduating from Lamar High School, Esther went on to University of Minnesota. She entered the nursing profession, receiving her Registered Nurse credential from St. Luke's Hospital in Denver. She and Mr. Chambers came to Simi Valley about fourteen years ago. She became the school nurse the following year and has given contin- uous, untiring service. She has two sons, Brice '62, who was voted Simi Valley High's Most Valuable Athlete fthe Harvey Franklin Award? in 1962 and played Var- sity Basketball at UCLA, and Keith, a junior at Simi Valley High, who plays Varsity Basket- ball here. 2 EDICATION . o To Esther For your deep love of your many, many children who have gone through the elementary and secondary grades under your watchful eye--some since kindergarten--and for your sympathetic and professional handling of our many aches and pains, we, the Annual Staff, in deep appreciation of this--and more--choose to dedicate to you, Mrs. Esther Chambers, the Pioneer of 1966.
