Words fall short in expressing the feelings of respect and admiration for Charlie as he com- pletes his fourth year as Grade School Principal of Silverton Schools. I Riding herd on approxi- mately 300 mischievous young people and 16 teachers is seldom an easy task, but he has met the challenge effectively . His straightforward manner and simple honesty in communicat- ing with others has won a place for him in the hearts of all with whom he has come in contact. 9 . Rampley, Superintendent, and the School Board Members of Silverton ISD pause momentarily for the cameraman. The seven community servants who make up the School Board willingly devote their time and efforts toward making our school a more effective one. The responsibilities are tremendous and the monetary pay is nil!
