Sambuceti TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 1986: Scottish poet Robert Browning in his work entitled Men and Women wrote, i'Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, Or whats a heaven for? These words hold great meaning and would serve you well as a focus toward success in your future. Many of you have earned recognition for achievement in academics, athletics, cultural, service and social endeavors. Those of you who continually strove to excel in these areas, even though you may not have attained your goal, have emulated the spirit of Browning's words. Hopefully, the labors you endured as a student have prepared you for the many obstacles you will encounter in life. Like school, life too requires hard work and self dis- cipline from those who would succeed in college, in work, and in family life. l wish all members of the Class of 1986 much happi- ness, good health and all possible success in the years ahead.
