' ' Histor) can be boring when teachers simply lecture, not relating past to pres- ent. Mr. Bystrom doesn ' t teach that way — he makes history relevant to the events of today. In two years. Bill Bvstrom has built him- self quite a reputation. His method of teaching is responsible for his success, and two words can describe this method — enthusiasm and involvement. He is gen- uinely enthused about his subjects, and nis enthusiasm is contagious. His students :an always look forward to an interesting, iilive class. Through plays, debates, expe- riments, and discussions, Mr. Bystrom iftecomes involved in his classes but he ' loesn ' t merelv moderate or direct — he akes part. Bv putting himself on the stu- lent ' s level, he establishes an excellent apport with his students; thus they want o learn from him.
