E We In Q In the county tourney we drew Warsaw. After Eg ig winning from Warsaw by two points we played Ivlentone in .Q Z 'af the semi-finals and defeated them by one point. We gan, then advanced to the finals where we met Milford and were defeated by two points in a very thrilling over- time game in the finals. We traveled to Pierceton on February 6, and were ff defeated 5O to 42. This was our first defeat of our 4 A regular schedule of games. On February 14, the Team played North Manchester at the college gym. The 1, Ramblers were defeated in another overtime game. Ka The sectional tourney found Silver Lake anxious to win its first tourney and the right to go to Fort Wayne. , We met Burket, Mentone, Pierceton and Warsaw in the ?f tourney. It was a happy night for Coach Dick Beck 4 because this is his first year of coaching, and we won. D 74 ff? , in i , MZ Z The Ramblers were crippled at Fort Wayne without , g the services of Center Sands who was ill with the mumps, A and Guard Jay Parker who was ill with the flu. Dick Jontz and Syl Allen had to fill, in the Rambler line-up tffax 2? Z We met Kendallville in the second game of the afternoon, came out victorious 55 to 54 in a thrilling game.
