They sometimes take naps in ease of a fire at night, but their eyes and ears are alert for the sound of the alarm. Firefighters do more than fight fires. They save people from car accidents, too. The school board decided that it needed to be changed. After several bids were turned in for asphalt, black- top, or gravel, the school board de- cided to use gravel. First they had the dirt leveled so that after a rain the water would run off the lot. Then Mr, Bernard Ross and Mr, Charlie Clark brought in the gravel and grated it. MERCHANTS MERCHANTS During this process many st dents had to find different parkii places. For some, that was inconv nient.
