IIIII PIIISI IS Back Row George Reamer, Norman Oberhelman, and Charles Thomas, 2nd Row: James Snyder, Dale Olson, Carl Barker, Clara Wade, Marilyn Maup1n, and Elvira Peavler, Front Row Marilyn McCoid, Mary Platt, Margorie T1bbs, Wilma Cunard Marvalie Tibbs Mrs Sue Anderson, Class Sponsor 18 not pictured Amhltuuus Ambrose Th18 year's production, 'Amb1t1ous Ambrose, was presented Nov 16 Charles Thomas played the starring role as Ambrose Groves 1n th1s three act comedy The supporting cast was highlighted by Jimmy Snyder and Marilyn MoCoid as Dan'l and Pos1e, the negro servants Ambrose and Bert Mlller, played by George Reamer, came West 1n the hope of finding a way to fame through vaudeville Instead, they were kicked off the train in the m1ddle of the desert without a cent to their names after havlng their wallet stolen When they wandered into Dead Man's Gulch, they were mis taken for the famous 'Homer the Eid' and Gun Smoke Carter' by some poor d fenseless girls ' The girls, Nancy and Anne Martin played by Marilyn Maupln and Marjor1e Tibbs, had come from Kansas City to cla1m ownershlp to the town's hotel after the crooked sherlff, Norman Oberhelman, and his henchmen, Hoot Owl Pete and St1nkweed played by Carl Barker and Dale Olson, had shot the owner But a gun totin c1tizen of Dead M n's Gulch Beth Malone, played by Wllma Cunard, showed up just in time to be instrumental in helping everyone out W1th the help of gabby Mrs Sprool and her delinquent daughter, Lena, played by Barbara Man1on and Mary Platt, all the necessary clues were collected to conv1ct the sherlff and his henchmen However, ID the meantime lt was necessary for the girls and Beth to marry themselves to the varmints in order to protect 'Homer Everyone was overjoyed when it turned out to be an illegal marriage because the new judge wasn't the new judge, and because Beth was. All the fellas get the1r gals, except Sher1ff Crandell and his henchmen who were knocked out by Ambrose. Minor parts were played by Bill Cra1g, Dayle Runkle and Charles Im emschuh. Elvira Peavler and larvalie Tibbs were in charge of the stage settings and Clara Wade served as prompter. Mrs. Sue Anderson, Class Sponsor, directed the play.
