The band placed first in their Class with high scores in music, general effect, and flag corps. Steve was named Outstanding Field Com- mander. MAKING USE OF her playing time as a freshman, Angie Briner strains to tip back the ball to the Floyd Central High- lander defense. This was the last JV volleyball match-up of the season.

riday, Jan- uar y 20, 1989. Dear Diary: I just got back from the boyst basketball game at South western. We won by fifteen points. There is so much to do at Silver Creek. 1 have found that get- ting in volved is a good way for a new student to make friends. SC has a lot of Clubs, such as Spanish Club, French Club, Gourmet Club, SADD, Deerstalkers, Dragon Players, Science Club, and Computer Club. Those who like sports can run, play basketball, golf, tennis, softball, or baseball. The boyst cross coun- try team placed 6th in the sta te finals this fall! In the time that I 've been at Silver Creek, I 've never been bored. Come to think of it . . . there is always some- thing extracurricular to do here. ON THEIR WAY to Is! and 2nd place finishes in the St. X Invitational are srs. Neil Crouse and Chris Jones. SC won the meet, beating Kentucky's $91 CC
