Color Our World With Hope Year by year, day by day, our world fills itself with an ever-increasing number of ideas, ambitions, likes, and dislikes. We are born into that world which engulfs us with thousands of these feelings . . . fear, love, hate, and hope. Silver Creek experienced these feelings in many ways throughout the year 1970-71. Many upperclassmen feared the all important college entrance tests, while freshmen may have feared the new experience of a high school situation. Being placed in a locker 0r trash bas- ket can be a traumatic experience for a greenl7 fresh- man. The love for fellow citizens was shown several times by SC student organizations. These organizations of- fered aid to area families by providing them with food baskets. Also apparent were the many friendships formed by students throughout their school years. Although hate may be a strong word to express an emotion, 'Silver Creek students might have felt this at various moments. To see a rival team injure a SC player or to participate in a program not appreciated by stu- dentsycould bring about this feeling. Finally hope, as students we all hope for success aca- demically and as sports fans we had many hopes and de- sires for the teams and coaches. However, there is an ever-present hope that our world, country, and eommu-- nity will continue to grow and prosper in years to come. As we all look to our future, we share together one outlook - COLOR OUR WORLD WITH HOPE.
