Z: 1 74a mg a. Held at the beautiful Stauf- fers Inn in Louisville, the prom this year was an overwhelming success. Shaded by a blossom laden magnolia tree, the guests en- joyed music provided by the iiStoneciphersi and smacked 0n the foods that our S.C. cooks had prepared and served to those attending. The prom was followed with . a breakfast at the school cafe- i teria. This was sponsored by the parents of members of the Junior class. The fun provided kept everyone entertained while they consumed the bountiful supply of eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, etc. Then to the sock hop in the gym or off to finish the mom- ing.r with bowling. The Juniors worked diligent- ly for weeks to make this prom 0:05 pm - l i f JW Mrs. Nunn, Mrs. Burns, Mrs. Miller, and Mrs. Walker prepared and served the many a valuable moment for all the Seniors to add to their memo- ries. varieties of food that the prom guests snacked on during the festive evening. A few of the couples who were on hand to enjoy the prom are these seated around this beautifully decorated table. Centered around an arrangement of yellow mums, there were on each table rolls of streamers in varied colors, our programs, name cards, and napkins identifying the prom. These mementos help preserve that wonderful event. l5

QUEEN AND COURT: Dale Mckinley, Linda Crum, Ernie Gilbert, Terry Baxter, Prom Queen; Danny Renn, Prom King; Cathy Graham, Doug Couch, Jane Graham. 0; EM As is tradition, the candidates for prom queen are girls from the Junior class chosen by the boys of the Senior class. The Junior girls Choose as king: 3 member of the Senior class. The boy and girl receiving the largest num- ber of votes wins the honor of king and queen. The girls and boys who were second, third, and fourth highest are members of the court. The results are unknown until the crowning of king and queen at the Prom. Everyone an- ticipates this tension filled moment when the roses are placed in her arms and crowns are placed upon their heads. The court then joins them in a special dance in honor of the reigning couple. Reigning at the nineteen hundred sixly-five Prom are Miss Torry Baxter, Junior; and Semor, Danny Renn.
