The endless discoveries in science make it almost impossible for students to become acquainted with all of them. In the two years of health and safety, these discoveries are studied. This year a torso 0f the human body was pur- chased to help students learn how the organs and systems in the body work, the functions of each system, and what organs make up the systems. Learning by doing adds reality and interest for the students in first aid. Pointers are given to help the students in various phases necessary to the de- velopment of a well-rounded character. Other im- portant topics are offered concerning habits and emotions, safety in the home, and good grooming. In becoming acquainted with these aspects of physical and mental health, the students learn what each contributes to the growth of an individual.
