Hl-Y don't you check your coats?... The annual initiation of the new Hi-Y members aroused everyone's interest when surprised girls were awarded with kisses. The boys also carried out tro- dition by operating a coat and hot check at bos- ketball games. A first this year for the club was the act of honoring their senior members with sweat- shirts. Rogers, Mayfield, and Beck admire the new sweatshirts that were presented to them. Arthur Riehl, sponsor, helps the Hi-Y officers sort their cards for checking coats. Aside from the eagerly awaited formal and in- formal initiations, the banquet honoring the senior members, and the choosing of cm Ideal Girl, the Sunshine girls live up to their name by bringing sun- shine to those less fortunate than they. At Christ- mostime, the club gets the spirit by working hard to furnish underprivileged children with toys and other gifts. Mitchell and Ruth Baker, sponsor, check over Christmas gifts for underprivileged children. The Sunshine officers look over the minutes written by Hinton, sec.
