wxvarw' ewwmaammWK-i 77 T Mrs. Wheatley talks to Mr. Chris Jung of the North Central Association. Many new clubs were organized. The Latin Club, Industrial Arts Club, and G.A.A. were formed. Our first Future Teachers Club was organized and granted 0 charter; a newly' formed Dromotics club presented a three-oct play. The Annual Staff sponsored a dance; The Silver Leaves Boll, which was held in the Stout Cafeteria. The Girls' Phys. Ed. Department sponsored Silver Creek's first May Day Program. And, on April 12, come our day of maturity. After several hord years of work and constant striving by our administration we come of age and were admitted to the North Central Association. Yes, Silver Creek really grew!

THE PLOT The School year of 1955-56 was a memorable one of Silver Creek. Amidst fhe buzz of sows 0nd clong of hammers our school grew. A new addition was added to our school which contained office space for the principal and vice-principol, science laboratory, foods' labora- tory and book store. We received 0 new principal, and assistant prin- cipal, and Mrs. Wheatley was in- stalled as girls' counselor while Mr. Corfner become boys' counselor.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS Besides Their everdoy teaching duties, our faculty members serve as class sponsors, sponsors of various clubs, advisers to the school newspaper and yearbook, and counse- lors. They are typical American teachers. Mrs. Mae McBride, art instructor, distributes clay to Pamela McKinley as Tommy Huddleston looks on.
