The Raiders had many problems to contend with, the greatest being that they never had worked together as teams before. There was no school pool and there were no water polo cages with which to practice. Working hard and eagerly to achieve their goals, the teams greatly improved, and are truly to be commended on their 1969 accomplish- ments. The highlight of the season was when the Novice Water Polo Team fcomposed of frosh-soph non-lettermenj won the James Lick Novice Water Polo Tournament. The Raider novices brought home the first trophy in Silver Creek's history. 67
