First Row, Bob Rackley, Randy Forsland, Ken Smith, Armando Vitela, Charles Dominguez, Jim Allen. I 1 I The 1969 J.V. Football season was a learning and building year. Our main objective was to develop a solid, hard hitting i defensive team. We accomplished this task-only two teams scored more than six points against us. Very few teams we played could sustain a drive against our defense. Our weakest point was in pass defense, and if this area was stronger we would have won more than three of our ten games. j Our offense was sporadic the first part of the season , but in the last five games we gained over 100 yards per game. This was done through the efforts of our linemen and running backs. The area that hurt us the most was not having a scoring punch. We had three J. V. All League players that should be key personnel in next year's club. These players are Ike Hernandez, Ken Smith, and Ken Matsumoto. Other players that should help the Varsity squad are: Mike Thum, Rod Peagler, Duane Lewis, Dennis Thum, Bert Williams, Chuck Trujillo, Jim Uriate, Randy Forsland, and Curt Fujino. 4
