ADMINISTRATIG The Board of Education is like the Atomic Energy Commission In that its responsibilities are the development and establishment of policies Like the Atomic Energy Commission, the Board of Education must deal with con stantly changing conditions, with growing needs, and new opportunities lt must make plans so that we will be prepared for what ever the future may bring The Board of Education in its efforts to provide the best instruction possible for our children, has been working this year with the problem of planning a new school building for our ever increasing number of students This is only one of many ways in which the Board is attempting to meet the needs of our changing times 6 Frederick A Feltz Supervising Principal The modern world has entered into a new phase of power -atomic energy. This power can be used for good or evil, but it is hoped that goodness will prevail. To control such power there must be established a wise council, the Atomic Energy Commission, to set the policies for its use. A similar council in our school system is the Board of Education. To im- plement its decisions, the Board appoints an administrative unit whose responsibility it is to interpret and carry out the policies for the good of all concerned.
