Even thou - I at times it is rather latent in our thinking. Yetwe are conscious of fact that Time Marches On '. - ' It behooves e a ch and everyone of us so 'to use our God-given time in the end we shall not be weighed in the balance and found wanting' To the Satsuma staff and the student body of Silsbee High School, we feel that your time inthis institution has been well utilized. You have availed yourselves of opportunitieswhich have been yours, and we commend you for your splendid achievements during the past years. Inadditiontoyour excellent scholastic records, you have excelled in the s p ir it of co-operation, honesty, truthfulness. frankness, integrity and love for your school. These traits are characteristic of good citizens. To he made good citizens is the highest goal of our school, and to be good citizens shouldbe the great aim of our lives. I know we can always count on you to maintain and uphold these high ideals wherever you are. May the Great Spirit above guide and keep you Sincerely yours, I think that the Editor and members of the Satsuma should be com- plimentedfortheir splendid job of recording, in pictures and words, the activities ofthe students during 1947-48. This book, I am sure, will al- ways be considered one of your mo st valuable possessions because it will constantly remind you of the many experiences that you encountered during the year.
