THE STAFF 'N' 'YT' lpuhlic 5Blfl'IHl5 QFYIUI B' lUllllN'l'fNUlNT Silshn, mucus I am deeply grateful of this opportunity to record in your splendid publication some thoughts relative to your school life in 1946-'47, To me now, as in the past years, the association with the student body, the faculty, and with the staff of the Satsuma, has meant an enriched life far beyond my ability to express. This year shall always stand out as one of the big years of my life. And as the years go by, I shall always lookback to this one with fond re- membrance of association with a fine group of boys and girls. As you leave the halls of this institution, may you ever hold high the ideals and traditions of your school. Sincerely, I consider it an honor for this opportunity of again writing in your year-b'ook. I think that the staff as well as the student body is to be highly commended for the splendid job that you have done. It is my sincere hope that as your thoughts wander back through the pages of this annual that you can say days spent here were not in vain and that the achieve- ments and experiences of your high school days contrib- ute materially toward noble Christian character and true American citizenship.
