Mr. Wood said that the thirteen units was one of the best maintained in Northwest Arkansas. Last school year, our buses traveled l08, 655 miles, at a cost of 8.4 cents per mile fthis included all expenses, in- cluding drivers' salariesj, and averaged 7.6 miles per gallon of gasoline. Mr, McKinney, our most efficient trans- portation supervisor feels confident that this high standard will be maintained, or bettered, this school year. About 48 per cent, or 599 of our pupils are transported by bus and 636 are non-transported, or living within a two- mile radius of the school. A 4 U V , .
