And so, even the seemingly unimportant events in our lives are never really forgotten - we use them as reference points and stopping places. Happenings are grouped into time frames such as just before the ballgamef' or a few days before my birthday or about the same time I met you. Thoughts and memories revolve around the old and the new. The familiar and the unfamiliar. What we've done and what we've yet to do.

Shaped by your own personal history, beckoned by the questions of future days, you exist in the everyday world of the present. Your comings and goings are broader and wider than place to place - because along the way, you're learning and unlearning, giving and taking, meeting and departing. You are the before, the after and the in-between.

We enter the in-between state of fig- uring out the solutions, of trial and error, of re- evaluating and revamp- ing. Then, the answers come and the cycle of before, in-between and after is complete.
