SUPERI TE DE T' M SSAGE All worthwhile things had small beginnings, whether it be in the realm of natural life, cultural events or material struc- tures. 1980 marks the turn of a new decade. It is a special time to look back over the past years and take a check of the balance scale. In doing this I envision Silo as it was on that first day we looked at it as a prospective location for this school - a weatherbeaten frame home with pear trees and yellow jonquils blooming in the yard. The first official School Board of the newly consolidated Silo School District was searching for a building site. They had a dream and most of them have lived to see that dream become a reality. The School Board and Community have overcome many barriers through unity and determination and you are commended for a job well done. I feel indeed grateful in having the opportunity to have shared in this task of planning and organizing with such dedicated people as those residing in this District, especially those serving on the Silo Board of Education both now and in the past life of the Silo School District's twelve years of existence.
