CUVITIEQ 1,1 Fall Follies, The Powder Puff FooTball Game, The WinTer Formal, and Girls' Week were The main evenTs in The Girls' League calendar This year, WiThin a monlh aTTer Fall Follies, The Powder Puff Foot- ball Game, in which only senior girls were eligible To play, was ini- TiaTed. ITS success encouraged The CabineT To hope iT will become a Tradifional evenT in The lives of Sierra's females. The highlighT of The Girls' League acTiviTies was The WinTer Formal Dance, held on January 30. A blue, seven Toof Tall hearT sTood in The cenTer of The dance floor, and along wiTh smaller blue hearTs on The gym walls, helped carry ouT The dances Theme of Blue Obsession , AppropriaTe music by Paul and The Esquires blended wiTh The Theme and helped seT The mood for The occasion. The lasT principle evenT of The year was The TourTh annual Girls' Week celeloraTion. Marilyn Macy was chosen CoTTon Queen and reigned over The TesTiviTies, which began on Monday, March 29, and concluded The following Friday wiTh a Tun-Tilled Sadie Hawkins Dance. Sophomore and Junior girls cornpeTe for honors in a volleyball game during Girls' Week. Dressed in an arroy of cosrumes, six gorgeous seniors encourage pep wiTh precision rouTines aT The Powder H'-ff -NRMFX f-N. Puff Football Game. FOLLIEQ the 23rcl, when the eleven participating groups were selected, until the opening night, the 250 girls in skits and continuity, the student director, and the faculty ad- visers, worked together to make this production a suc- cess. As the October 30th performance came to a close, relief and regret were visible on the participants' faces, but the girls realized that it had been a tremendous suc- - cess.
