IN ON Well, I think I'm going out of my head, and I can'T explain the Tears that I shed over you! could have been the theme song of The T965 Oracle Staff. From The day that I began to plan The book, to The final day that we sent The last installment to The publisher, seemingly complete chaos reigned during sixth period in ML TOO, yet, somehow, everything Turned out all right, The staff could never have done it alone, so now I wish to say thanks tothe many people who helped us along The way. We owe a special Thanks To The following members of The administrative staff who helped in so many ways: Mr. Roger Weeks, Mr. Orval McLellan, Mr. Ron Parks, Mr. Robert Wolstroncroft, Mrs. Cecilia Throp, Mr. Bill Toohey, and Mr. Bill Laverty. Although you might Think ofa yearbook as being all pictorial, a great volume of copy is needed to Tell The whole story. I am indebted to Dan Douglass, who wrote The important Theme copy that appears on The division pages. I'm sure you'll agree he did a great iob. Thanks also to John Thelin, Judy Hanes, Chuck Thomas, Dave Campbell, Chris Carley, Bob Vieira, Jurgan Eiche, Miss Marilyn Kahl, Mr. Len Craven, and Mr. Selden Cummings for Their iournalistic contributions. As always, Mrs. Imogene Forker helped us in The research department, and Mrs. Ruth Hughes graciously loaned us The Health Office time-stamp machine to expedite The Taking of club pictures. Thanks too to Mr. John Boranian aT District Print shop for doing some last minute printing for us. The following student photographers were kept busy getting pictures for The book: Richard Seeley, Mel Murphy, Don Kelsen, Todd Sudick, Lance Lawson, John Warren, and Don Rex. For Those photographic needs that were Too involved for staff members to Take, we could always count on The staff aT J. Edmund Watson Studios to save The day. We owe much to Mr. Bob Watson, Mr. Paul Morris, and Mr. Bob Marlin for every- Thing They did to help us get The book out. Mr. Watson even went To The Trouble of renting an expensive, unusual camera To Take The special photographs used on The division pages. We had a great deal of understanding help from Mr. Ken Davidson and Mr. Wilber Loe of The Taylor Publishing Co., and from Mr. Phil Clark of The S.K. Smith Cover Co. We can never Thank The following people who helped us in hundreds of different ways: Mrs. Pat Troianowski, Mrs. Kay Sponsler, Mrs. Ann Taylor, Mrs. Betty West, Mrs. Marian Bramlett, Mrs. Faith Corey, Mrs. Helen Bell, Miss Pat Fawcett, Mr. Otto Guli, Mr. Bill Dial, Mr. Joseph Adler, Mr. Eugene Kilday, Mrs. Deanna Krieger, Mr. Harold Course, Mrs. Carolyn Brown and her Girls' P.E. staff, and Mr. Robert Dugard andthe members of his department. Most of all I would personally like to thank those on the '65 Oracle Staff for their diligent work in putting out this book. My side-kick, Assistant Editor Judy Gardner, put in hours of valuable work. A tedious iob was done by Lynne Wilhelm, Karen Thompson, Kathy Hoyt, and Pat Cohan under Copy Editor Elizabeth Page. Page Layouts and art work were under The direction of Diane Flanagan, assisted by Bob Mullowney, Jackie Becklehimer, Greg Cooper, Randy Haynes, and Paul Jensen, who did many of the wonderful illu- strations appearing on The division pages. Our Business Manager Penny Scott was assisted by Vickie Larimer. They worked hard to keep us out of the red for The year. Boys' Sports Editor Chris De Noon had a great deal of help from Ken Derry, Ron Rice, and Bruce Lyons. Picture Editor Sue Hendrickson did a fine job of making all The arrangements necessary for the Taking of so many pictures. And, of course, a special thanks To our long-suffering adviser, Mr. Richard B. Smith. Without The support of The many interested business people who purchased advertising space, This book would have been a lot different. My thanks To them and To you, the members ofthe student body, for all your help and cooperation during The making of The Great Production. Sincerely yours, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF T965 ORACLE TAYFRIL ZI'P.Ll5'1,l!'9 FPMIFNY
