With the free- dom guaranteed it in the Constitution, the press keeps the citizens of this country informed, tor a free people must be an informed one. Maintaining the high standards of the iournalistic profession, the Sword and Shield this year captured third place for overall ex- cellence in the district iournalism contest. One iudge rated it the best paper in the district. A maior addition to the paper's subiect matter was In Your Opinion . . .
