One of the most cherished American rights is that of suffrage. Sierra students gain valuable experience in the election process by going to The polls and select- ing from among their classmates, lead- ers who will represent them for the fol- lowing year. The members of each class vote for their respective class officers, while the entire student body votes for Associated Student Body officers who compose the Student Cabinet. The T963-'64 Cabinet, headed by President John Benson, met first period each morning, five days a week. During this time they plannefd the numerous stu- dent activities that enriched student life this year, and solved the many financial problems envolved in providing them. JOHN BENSON President Dear Sierra Student Body, Speaking for the entire A.S.B. Cabinet, I wish to express our deepest appreciation for your part in making this year one of Sierra's best. We realize that student government 'is only as strong as the interest of the students it represents. Our student body this year has shown great enthusiasm for, and has given much support to its elected representatives. We also wish to thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. It has been an experience that we will never forget and one which will never cease to benefit us. When you elected us, you bestowed upon us a great responsibility. This is doubly great at Sierra, because, as ours is one of the tinest of student bodies, you deserve the greatest and most faithful service your Cabinet can give.
