The crucial playoff against Anaheim, won with an overtime score of IO-9, let the Spartans advance to C.l.F. competition, where, in the first round ot battle, Sierra was beaten by Ox- nard High School. In the tough Upland Tour, the Spartans also took third place with a record of three wins and one loss. The team was led by co-captains, Mike Anderson and Dave Stoufter, both ot whom earned honorable mention on the C.I.F. team and were selected for the all-league, tirst team. Earning honorable mention in the Eastern League were Chris Grittith and Forrest Cornell.
