In l9OO The need for a high school was pressing. so lhe Whilfier Union High School was organized holding classes in lhe upper floor of 'rhe Bailey Slreel School, while lhe lower floor housed grammar school classes. Thal' year 'lhe Whillier High School sludenf body numbered 47 sfudenfs. Since +ha+ lime lhe high school disfricl' has grown 'rremendously unfil loday lhere are six high schools wilh over Il.00O sfudenls in aflendance. Plans are now being formulaled for fhe consfrucfion of fhree more high schools and eveniually a junior college.
