The English Orien- tation Departments first and foremost function is to orient and accustom the incoming freshman to high school lite, and to give him a solid background in the basic skills of English. Pl' Cl L FOREIGN LANGUAGE lt is possible for a visitor to the Sierra High School campus to step from the Gran Villa of Madrid to the Boulevards of Paris, and to the Inns ot old Heidelberg iust by entering the Foreign Language Building. Gaily decked with pictures, posters, and artifacts, the rooms provide an ideal setting for the students to learn and speak the language ot their choice.
